• Entry procedures for truck drivers through the land ports

    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (LW / L / 2164) dated (12/14/1441), which includes reference to the letter No. (L and / L / 1684) and the date (9/8/ 1441), attached to the telegram of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce No. (25735) dated (7/8/1441), regarding the necessary precautionary measures to ensure that the "emerging corona" virus does not transmit to the Kingdom and limit its spread. Dated (7/28/1441), regarding the movement of commercial cargo at land ports, mechanisms for controlling commercial movement, the entry of the leaders of trucks transporting goods to the Kingdom and those transiting through them to other countries (transit), and the generous approval of the recommendations of the concerned committee, and a supplement to the Council's speech No. (LW / L / 1954) and the date (10/23/1441) referred to in the letter of His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce for Business and Investment No. (18996) and the date (10/20/1441) based on the Noble Royal Decree No. (56982) On (10/19/1441), which included the generous approval of the relevant committee regarding procedures for examining (PCR) for truck drivers coming to Yemen this is according to the controls set forth in the noble decree referred to above.​


    Therefore, the Council informs you that an additional letter has been received from His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce for Business and Investment No. (21654) dated (12/13/1441), based on the noble Royal Decree No. (66350) dated (10/12/1441) containing approval of what the committee concerned with the occasion of easing the precautionary measures for the movement of trucks through the land ports of the Kingdom mentioned in the two aforementioned orders according to the following stages:

    The first stage: the entry of all trucks through the land ports of the Kingdom from the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf that carry goods, the Kingdom of which is their final destination, and suffice to assess the presence of symptoms of suspected truck drivers of Coronavirus (Covid-19).

    For the second stage: the entry of all trucks through the land ports of the Kingdom from all countries, and suffice to assess the presence of symptoms of suspected truck drivers being infected with Coronavirus (Covid-19).
    Provided that all health requirements that other countries apply to truck drivers coming from the Kingdom on transit trucks entering the Kingdom - based on the principle of reciprocity - and the transition between stages is made by a decision of the relevant committee within 14 days from the start of the phase.
